Climatic, Meteorological, Hydrologic, Seismic, Coastal, Ocean, and Environmental Data, plus

High-Resolution, Broadcast Quality Mapping of Scientific Data down to

0.1 Kilometer by Environmental Science & Energy, Inc.

Charles B. Pyke, President, CEO, and Principal Scientist

Timothy E. Wright, Chairman of the Board and Principal Energy & Data Specialist

Charles B. Pyke, Ph.D., President, CEO, and Principal Scientist, and Timothy E. Wright, Chairman of the Board and Principal Energy and Data Specialist, of  Environmental Science & Energy, Inc., offer climatic, meteorological, hydrologic, seismic, coastal, ocean, environmental, and other scientific data of all types,  from a data base of approximately 30 terabytes (33 trillion bytes) - one of the densest and most extensive data bases available anywhere.  This data base archives everything from weather observations and earthquake information, to runoff information and tides, going back to 1948 and extending up to date to the present day, in either English or metric units. The data base includes the United States, Canada, and elsewhere in the world.

All data are subject to the best available state-of-the-art quality control.

We also offer:

Accurate, high-tech scientific interpolation of the data to specific locations (often where there are no actual data measurements for miles around).

Compilation, integration, and detailed expert analysis of the data.

High-resolution (0.1 kilometer) mapping of the data -- all at reasonable costs.

Types of data [go to Data page].

High-resolution, broadcast quality mapping of precisely interpolated climatic, meteorological, hydrologic, seismic, coastal, and ocean data with details as small as 0.1 kilometer (one small city block).

High-tech mapping of scientific data over urban or rural areas, over flat terrain or highly complex mountains.  The resolution of these maps can be as low as 0.1 kilometer.  The map presentation can be in color or in black and white.

These maps will be of very high resolution and will be of television broadcast quality.  They can be used regularly for television weather or other displays on a one-time or a routine basis.

The map presentation can be the plotting of station or grid-point values of the element mapped, plus - if desired - isopleths (lines of equal element value) drawn across the map, carefully following terrain guidance (orographic principles) and other meteorological, hydrologic, seismic, or oceanographic guidance (as part of the precise, pinpoint interpolation process).  Areas between isopleths can be colored or shaded in, with various colors representing ranges of values of the element being mapped.

The elements to be mapped can be actual or predicted meteorological (current conditions or historical) or climatic (long-term averages or extremes), such as temperature (maximum, minimum, or current), precipitation (intensity or accumulation), wind (direction and speed), humidity, evapotranspiration, visibility, cloud height (ceiling), barometric pressure, radar echoes, satellite cloud maps, snow cover, snow depth, snow water equivalent, air pollution (such as ozone), and even radioactive fallout.

Other elements can include actual or predicted streamflow (peak value, current value, or accumulated runoff volume) at points along a river or at a lake, lake or reservoir levels, seismic parameters (historical earthquake magnitudes or observed shaking parameters - Mercalli values or accelerometer g-values), coastal storm surge depth and timing, ocean currents (direction and speed), ocean water surface temperature, ocean temperatures at depth, ocean wave heights (plus direction and period), various other geophysical parameters, and various environmental parameters (including data on endangered species).

The data used in such mapping will be the precisely interpolated data provided by Environmental Science & Energy, Inc. to specific locations [see Data Interpolation page].  The data base can include eyewitness accounts of earthquake damage or historical water heights (river, lake, or ocean) in their homes or elsewhere on their properties.
